It’s the two year anniversary of my father’s passing, and all day I’m reminded of how hard and cruel life can be. And then I had a FaceTime chat with my soon to be 2-year-old nephew, and he sang “Happy Birthday, Aunt Mandy… Cupcakes!” and I’m reminded of how awesome life can be, too. Just wish it could always be awesome for everyone. All of the time. Well, maybe not for the jerks. They can take some of that harsh and cruel shit.
